Answer

STEP 1:    You have to find the number of cassettes solved this year. We are given the information that the number of cassettes sold this year is two times the number that was sold last year. Note that the word “times” indicates multiplication.

We have the number of cassettes sold last year as c. So, the number of castes sold this year is c “multiplied” by 2, or 2c.
